Dastan learned the basic difference between AI, chatbots, and AI agents through a concrete project. He chose volcanoes as the research topic, helped build and revise a student-safe volcano study-guide website, approved published versions after safety checks, and finished with an interactive presentation deck.
Learning Outcomes
- Explained that an AI agent can follow a goal, use tools, build artifacts, and check work.
- Collected and revised volcano facts in student-friendly wording.
- Learned project versioning: version, deployment, rollback, major/minor/patch.
- Saw how research notes can become a website and a presentation artifact.
- Reviewed visual improvements and connected them back to the science explanation.

Progress By Date
Week 1 project direction was approved: use AI to help make a simple study guide while allowing Dastan to choose the topic.
Dastan answered volcano research questions, chose Mount Fuji, selected safety tips, requested citations, and moved the work toward a website artifact.
Dastan requested richer version-2 improvements: popups, sound, mini-video explanations, and a 3D/fallback volcano model.
Volcano version 2.0.1 and the interactive presentation deck were completed, reviewed, deployed, and verified.
Week 1 was closed as completed when Week 2 Career Explorer was set up.
Next follow-up: use the volcano presentation for a short explanation practice when helpful, but move the main curriculum forward to Week 2.
